The original dwellers and keepers of the rain forest claim to have been great friends with mountain gorillas and none of their hunting activities could harm the beautiful apes. They had spent their entire life depending on the forest until 1993 when Bwindi forest was gazette as a national park. There main activity of survival was hunting using bow and arrows, a thing they still never forgot though now they respect all the park wildlife including the world most unique primate, the mountain gorillas.

They never knew hospitals because God was merciful to give those trees and shrubs the system they practice to show the new generation the grass root of their origin. A hut is the best luxury shelter they could construct using trees, leaves and climbing plants. Batwa families live in unity and share pains of brother and sister ties.

Every gorilla tour can be complete with a visit to the pygmies or batwa people and experience the real life of an ancient Ugandan.
